Whatever you think about the lockdown, it has to be said that this is one of the most challenging times of our lives. I do feel genuinely concerned for everyone out there, especially people that are vulnerable, knowing that if I've been challenged by this with the skills of mental control that I have, what about those who don't (yet) have that same advantage. 

At the beginning I became persistently anxious, but luckily knowing what I know I was able to turn that around into empowerment and positivity. In fact, I did that in one session, in just minutes. It was really a choice backed up with a knowledge of how my mind works and how to get it back under control. 

Of course, you may or may not be able to do that as fast as I did, but you can certainly start the process of turning things around. Be sure to check my video "Corona/Lockdown Anxiety Free Hypnosis" which will give you a taste of this.  

Now, however, I think myself (like many of you) have "lockdown fatigue" so we need to keep working at keeping ourselves balanced. It was hard enough with ADHD before this happened. But now, for many of us, it's twice as hard because we've lost much of what we had that helped to regulate us and keep us sane! 

The good news, however, is that it CAN be done. Be sure to check out, if you haven't already, my videos "8 Tips to Survive Lockdown With ADHD" (for adults, but also applicable to children) as well as my video made especially for parents - "ADHD Kids on Lockdown: 7 Tips for Parents." 

Medication has always been helpful, but if we're honest about it - we always needed more than that. Lifestyle changes, such as relaxation time, nature, exercise, and skills such as hypnosis or mindfulness, have always been necessary to really get the most out of ourselves and our children when they have ADHD.  

As I've always said, "this is true for everyone, but EVEN MORE so when you have ADHD. It's not just helpful, but VITAL!" And now, in lockdown, it is more vital than ever.

Honestly, I don't want to scare you, but if you and your children don't, despite the restrictions, put in as much effort as possible, to find a way to get that "Lifestyle Balance", ADHD (and all the problems that go with it) will just get worse!
